Hancock Brothers Trailer & RV Rentals
This October, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Matt and Mark Hancock, the brothers behind Hancock Brothers Trailer & RV Rentals. What started as a simple idea to rent out their camper has grown into a thriving business, with a diverse fleet and a strong focus on building things the right way.
How They Found towlos
Matt and Mark first heard about towlos through the Trailer Hustle Facebook group. After connecting with Justin Martin from Trailer Hustle, they scheduled a call with towlos founder Matt Jones. At the time, towlos was still new, but what impressed them most was how open the team was to feedback and committed to building a platform that worked for hosts. Since joining, they’ve seen plenty of upgrades and improvements that have helped their business run smoothly.
From Camper to Company
The brothers officially launched Hancock Brothers Trailer & RV Rentals in August 2024. It all started with their camper, originally, they planned to sell it, but when a company reached out to rent it for a music festival, they decided to give it a try. That first rental sparked something bigger. They listed the camper on RVshare, where it quickly gained traction, and realized there was real potential in trailer rentals.
With several utility trailers from their construction business sitting unused most of the time, they decided to rent those out too and the results were promising. Combining that momentum with their background in residential rental properties, the brothers formed an LLC and purchased their first trailer under it in August 2024. From there, Hancock Brothers Trailer & RV Rentals was born.

Beyond Business: Hobbies & Family Life
Outside of the trailer rental world, both Matt and Mark stay busy. Mark is passionate about offroading, spending countless hours building and fabricating parts for his rigs and hitting the trails whenever he can. Meanwhile, Matt and his wife have poured their energy into their farm. Together with their kids, they raise cows, pigs, egg-laying chickens, meat chickens, ducks, and rabbits. Their kids also proudly show pigs and rabbits in 4H competitions a true family affair.
Tips for Other Hosts
When asked what advice they’d share with others starting out, Matt and Mark had one key message: track everything. From financials like gross profit, net profit, and cost of goods sold, to leads, close rates, and trailer maintenance, keeping detailed records has been the key to turning their business profitable. While tracking takes time, they credit this discipline with helping them understand what works, what doesn’t, and how to scale smartly.
