Host of the Month: Jetline Rentals Is Growing a Trailer Rental Business While Still in College

At towlos, we love highlighting hosts who are building something special in their communities, and this month, we are excited to feature Jetline Rentals.

Started in July 2025 by Josie and three of his best friends, Jetline Rentals began with a simple conversation over dinner about future business plans. At the time, all four founders were in college, balancing school, work, and the excitement of starting something of their own. That conversation quickly turned into action, and in just 10 months, Jetline Rentals has been able to 4X its business while continuing to grow its fleet and customer base.

From a Dinner Conversation to a Growing Trailer Rental Business

Like many great business ideas, Jetline Rentals started with a conversation. Josie and his business partners were discussing different business opportunities over dinner when the idea of entering the trailer rental space came up.

Despite the busy schedules that come with college life, the group decided to pursue it. Since launching in July 2025, they have worked together to grow Jetline Rentals into a business with multiple trailer options available for a wide range of hauling needs.

Their growth is a great reminder that you do not have to wait for the “perfect” time to get started. With the right idea, consistency, and willingness to learn as you go, a side business can turn into something much bigger.

A Trailer Fleet Built for All Kinds of Projects

Jetline Rentals currently offers a versatile selection of trailers, including:

  • Dump trailer
  • Equipment trailer
  • Car trailer
  • Utility trailer
  • Enclosed trailer

With this variety, they are able to serve customers taking on all kinds of projects, from everyday hauling needs to more unique jobs.

One of their most memorable rentals so far? A trailer that traveled to South Carolina to pick up airplane parts.

What They Enjoy Most About Being Trailer Hosts

For Josie and the Jetline Rentals team, one of the most rewarding parts of running a trailer rental business is getting to play a role in so many different projects.

“The thing that we enjoy most about being a trailer host is all the different projects you get to be a part of.”

Every rental has a story behind it. Some renters may be tackling a home improvement project, moving equipment, or hauling a vehicle. Others, like the airplane parts rental, may be doing something completely unexpected. That variety is part of what makes trailer rentals such an exciting business to be in.

Advice for Future Trailer Rental Hosts

When asked what advice they would give someone considering getting started with trailer rentals, Josie shared an honest and valuable reminder:

“My biggest tip would be to not sweat when business is slow. We have found that this is a very seasonal business while also being very unpredictable.”

That is an important takeaway for new hosts. Trailer rental demand can shift throughout the year depending on weather, local events, moving seasons, construction projects, and more. Slow stretches do not necessarily mean something is wrong. Staying patient, continuing to market your trailers, and keeping listings updated can help position your business for stronger seasons ahead.

Spotlight on Jetline Rentals

In less than a year, Jetline Rentals has turned a dinner-table idea into a growing business with a diverse trailer fleet and big momentum. We are excited to see what is next for Josie and his team as they continue building, learning, and helping renters get the right trailer for the job.

Congratulations to Jetline Rentals, our Host of the Month!
