November Host of the Month: Meet Kevin Ulrick of Zoey Transportation LLC

Last updated: October 26, 2026

This month, we’re highlighting a towlos Host who has become a familiar face both on the platform and inside the towlos Facebook community.

Meet Kevin Ulrick, owner of Zoey Transportation LLC in Clarksville, Tennessee. Kevin rents trailers, hauls vehicles, transports pets around Middle Tennessee, and somehow still finds time to keep conversations going inside the towlos Facebook group as one of our moderators.

From working as a full-time diesel mechanic to serving as a Motor Transport Operator in the Army National Guard, Kevin has spent plenty of time around trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

“Between fixing big rigs and driving them, I’ve pretty much always had grease on my hands and something hooked to the back of a truck,” Kevin said.

From the Road to Owning His Own Equipment

Kevin first got into transportation by driving over the road. When the opportunity came up to become an owner-operator, he jumped on it.

That experience sparked what he calls the “own-your-own-equipment bug,” and eventually led him into trailer rentals.

Like a lot of trailer owners, Kevin realized one of his trailers was spending more time parked than working.

“My trailer was spending more time sitting in the yard than I was spending pulling it,” he said. “So I figured, why not let it go make some friends and earn its keep?”

That decision helped lead to the trailer rental side of Zoey Transportation.

What Kevin Rents

Kevin currently rents out a car hauler for $110 per day, including through towlos.

He also co-hosts a dump trailer for another owner. That trailer currently rents for $150 per day on weekends and is expected to be added to towlos soon.

For Kevin, trailer rentals are just one part of the business. Zoey Transportation also offers vehicle hauling and pet transportation throughout Middle Tennessee.

Finding a Community on towlos

Kevin says his experience with towlos has been excellent, but one of his favorite parts has been the towlos Facebook group.

“The Facebook group is a whole bonus,” Kevin said. “It’s the best place to swap ideas and see how other Hosts are crushing it.”

Kevin has also become one of the group’s moderators, and he has done an incredible job helping keep the community active and engaged.

If you’re in the group, you’ve probably seen one of his questions pop up in your feed. Kevin regularly starts conversations about trailer rentals, pricing, operations, and the everyday challenges that come with running a rental business.

“I absolutely love being the guy who starts the conversation and then sits back to see what everybody thinks,” he said. “It’s all real owners who actually do this, so you get real answers, plenty of opinions, and usually a few laughs.”

That willingness to share ideas and encourage other Hosts to do the same is exactly what makes the towlos community valuable.

Kevin’s Advice for New Trailer Hosts

For anyone thinking about getting into trailer rentals, Kevin’s biggest piece of advice is to understand the market before jumping in.

“Know your market like the back of your hand,” he said. “Dig in and research pricing in your area before you list a single thing. Homework first, money later!”

It’s simple advice, but an important reminder that a successful trailer rental business starts with understanding what renters in your area actually need and what similar equipment is renting for.

More Than Just Trailer Rentals

Between trailer rentals, vehicle hauling, and pet transportation, Zoey Transportation stays busy helping people throughout Clarksville and Middle Tennessee.

And Kevin continues to bring that same energy to the towlos community, whether he’s helping another Host think through an idea or simply getting a good conversation started in the Facebook group.

We’re grateful to have Kevin as both a towlos Host and a moderator, and we’re excited to name him our November Host of the Month.
